Community Outreach Invitation (18yo+)

A person (our newest recruit, Ensign T.Leland) from The Real Life SuperHeroes group has invited our chapter to join the RLSH group and assist with a co-promoted patrol on Wednesday, January 31st at 8:30pm. They will be gathering in the parking lot behind the LPAC on Lancaster Blvd.

This will be a uniformed event, so please come dressed appropriately and be ready to interact with people in need.

What they do/who they are:

“We are a loose coalition of Real Life Superheroes (RLSH) that go about their communities doing good deeds.. We do the homeless outreach on alternating Wednesdays and will soon be starting free monthly self-defense classes for women and LGBTQ+ youth.”

Captains Log 01/17/18

I’m in infatuation with my newest recruit, Ensign Leland. He’s already an active person, for reaching out and supporting the community. We’re actively communicating already, and already he’s encouraging me to ‘step outside my comfort zone’ into a zone I’d rather be in (quite frankly) and join him (and others) in an outreach function. I may pass this first time (as it’s tonight) but I’ll certainly be planning to join him for the next one. Another day where I am impressed by the people this Federation touches, and the possibility of attaining Roddenberry’s dream society. <3

January Monthly Meet-Up Review

Meeting held Jan 13th, 2018:
Aside from being loud (with overhead music playing), I felt the meeting went fairly well, considering much of the crew were in mixed stages of health this month.

In Attendance:
Ft.Cpt R. Wilson Avg of 2 games 101.5
Lieutenant C. Hisa Avg of 2 games 56
Commander N. Guill Avg of 3 games w/bumpers 104.6
LTJG K. Avers
Lt. Commander J. Wilson Avg of 2 games 114.5
LTJG J. Larson
LTJG P. Willey
Ensign M. Wilson Avg of 2 games 80.5
C. Maj I. Wilson Avg of 3 games w/bumpers 81.3
C. Lt 1 L. Wilson

Though LtJG Larson and Willey stepped out early they still made an attempt at attendance for which I am grateful and hope they feel better soon.

Not much was discussed at this meeting though some discussion was broached over the pending ALA convention and STLV convention (both of which can be found on the calendar). I hope to see more people at the next meeting, though as usual I understand if you cannot make it.
