Red Rock Canyon State Park
The park is 25 miles northeast of Mojave on Highway 14, near Cantil. Go west 1/4 mile on Abbott Drive. Signage indicating the turnoff is clearly visible on Highway 14.
The park is open sunrise-sunset for Day-Use.
Best time of year to Visit
Spring and fall months: Guided nature hikes and campfire programs are offered during the spring and fall months. The Visitor Center is closed January and February. And July, August,
Bathrooms are available outside the buildings and in each of the of the highway entrances.
Regular one day vehicle price is $6 dollars. Pay at the Visitor Center, or when closed outside at the entrance
About a 150 miles roundtrip from the Antelope Valley (average car mpg 22 miles per gallon)
To the minimum, I would recommend at least 7 gallons of gas allocated for trip transportation (average cost per gallon $3.49 as of 3/28/18) – $24.43
